When possible, we offer custom classes. These classes are carefully designed to meet your company’s needs. Our instructors serve many apprentice hours before we allow them to engage the classroom environment in order to be better prepared to make an exciting and informative event as possible. We strive to make safety training fun and are always coming up with new things to throw into our classes.

Accident Investigations: This course is designed to assist employees in recognizing the information they’ll need to gather if the worst happens. Class is presented in either a 2 or 4 hour format.* Utilize information from past accidents to identify the root cause and administer preventive techniques which can help minimize future occurrences.
*1 hour classes available using a “Safety Committee” format.
Aerial Lift Training (Boom Lift, Scissor Lift, Bucket Truck): Full day course designed to help employees become authorized operators.* Class is specific to the class of lifts you may need.** This course is recommended for anyone working on or around the various types of lifts.
*Please Note – this is not an operator certification class. Only an employer may “certify” an operator
**Access to equipment will be necessary for hands-on instruction
Back Safety: 2 hour course modeled to help workers eliminate poor work habits that lead to back problems. Program is ideally suited for construction and warehousing environments.
Basic Electrical Safety: Course designed to educate attendees on the rules for working safely around electricity. 2 or 4 hour format presented in a classroom setting using electrical device demonstrations and multimedia presentations along with hands-on inspections of certain types of electrical equipment.
Basic Rigging: Designed to familiarize participants with the most common types of rigging. This class is presented in a 2 hour awareness format or a 4 hour user format focusing on the hands-on inspection process and various uses for rigging.
Basic Skid Loader Safety: This course is designed to educate attendees on safety rules when working in and around skid loaders. Presented in a 2 or 4 hour format utilizing classroom instruction and hands-on obstacle course practice.
Blood Borne Pathogens: This course is designed to get participants familiar with the hazards associated with Bloodborne Pathogens. Presented in either a 2 or 4 hour format, attendees will be expected to step through several scenarios and be able to put together a basic Bloodborne Pathogen kit.
Bucket truck awareness: Intended to educate workers on common safe practices for equipment use, the ability to identify hazards and solutions that avoid them. Workers will focus on basic hazards such as falling objects, dangers of improper set up and problems associated with working near active roads.
Bucket Truck User: This course is designed to help employers meet training requirements for use of bucket truck equipment. Taught in a 4 – 8 hour session.* Attendees will be required to pass a written test prior to participating in the operators instruction. Workers will perform walk around inspections of their equipment, set up work zone area, give others safe direction and operate lifts in a safe manner.
* Class length can vary depending on experience of crew participating, number of attendees and bucket trucks for use
Builders Big 10*: Ideal for anyone in the residential construction field, course will give employees a basic understanding of safety.
*OSHA 10 hour for Residential
Cold Stress: A one hour awareness course intended to inform workers of the potential dangers regarding winter cold.
Confined Space Awareness: Offered in a 2 hour classroom format, this course helps attendees identify a confined space, guidance regarding the basic requirements and the potential dangers associated with working in such environments.
Confined Space Entrants and Attendants: 4 hour classroom based program designed to help employees understand the fundamentals of a confined space program and entering/monitoring those work areas. Attendees will be asked to supply gas monitors and tripods thus becoming familiar with the equipment they will be expected to use. Additionally, a copy of company’s confined space program (along with permits) will also be necessary.
Confined Space Competent Person: Taught in an 8 hour segment, this course is designed to help attendees meet the “Competent Person” status for confined space. First segment is classroom direction where participants will have hands-on and multimedia instruction. Second segment will present attendees with setting up tripods, reviewing gas monitor procedures and personal protective equipment use (including personal fall arrest). Third segment presents a review followed by a test. Upon successful completion, workers will then set up a confined space scenario and explain rescue procedures that can be used.
Crane Safety Awareness: A 2 to 4 hour course designed to help employers teach those working around cranes how to be safe. Offered in a classroom setting, attendees will receive instruction and multimedia presentations regarding safe work practices including the dangers of working directly under a load, not approaching the blind side of crane equipment, pinch points and caught between hazards.
Emergency Action Plans: This course is designed to teach attendees to identify the key components of a successful Emergency Action program. Participants will be given a program overview and tasked to write different supplemental portions in a group setting. This is an ideal course for site supervisors and engineers responsible for implementing programs on various sites.
Ergonomics 101: Custom designed to the environments and needs of the client which can be taught in 1, 2, or 4 hour increments. Workers should understand basic tools and principals for changing work habits that benefit personal well being.
Fall Protection: Full day course covering the OSHA requirements for fall protection and designed to help those present meet the “Competent Person” status for fall protection. Attendees will be presented with possible every day situations* and asked to provide feedback/solutions.
*Attendees are encouraged to bring personal fall protection equipment for inspection and additional information.
Fall Protection ABC’s: 2 – 4 hour course designed to aid employers in instructing those working with fall protection including basic requirements. Presenting information through instruction and multimedia that cover fall protection solutions, demonstrating available gear, proper harness use and basic rescue planning.
Fall Protection User Training: Designed as end-user training, this course can be customized to the client for particular fall protection methods and equipment to be used on site. Each employee attending should have their Personal Fall Arrest Gear to aid with given scenarios that encompass site specific hazards, pre-planning and workable solutions.
Fall Protection Awareness: Presented as a 1- 2 hour format designed to help employers teach the basic requirements of fall protection. Attendees will learn through instruction and multimedia presentations focusing on solutions.
Fall Protection Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: A 1- 2 hour course designed to provide workers with necessary training about their harnesses. Each employee that attends will need to have their personal fall arrest gear which will aid instruction on proper fit, inspection and hazard recognition.
Fall Protection Competent Person: An 8 hour course designed to help attendees meet the “Competent Person” status for fall protection. Attendees will be given classroom direction with both hands-on and multimedia instruction. When completed, attendees can take this knowledge back, apply it in the field and assist others in understanding.
Fall Protection Rescue Awareness: Designed to have workers think about the events after a fall happens. For all workers that use personal fall arrest gear. Self rescue scenarios are presented to invite discussion and evaluate solutions.
FATAL VISION® impairment simulation: Fatal Vision® is an evidenced based training tool used to vividly demonstrate the concept of impairment and the dangers of alcohol and other drug misuse and abuse.
Fire Extinguisher 101: 2- 4 hour classroom based program designed to help employees learn the basics of fire extinguishers. The participants will be instructed about different fire extinguishers, how they are rated and used in fire emergencies.
First Aid CPR AED: Full day course that will cover the variety of topics required for first aid training and is recommended for EVERYONE.* The course will follow multimedia instruction along with hands-on exercises. Attendees will be required to practice rescue breath and compression techniques, as well as proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator. Scenarios will be presented to assist participants in providing real world on-site care.
*Upon class completion participant will be First Aid compliant for 3 years, CPR/AED compliant for 2 years, receive a wallet card and certificate
Fork Lift Operator Training*: This course instructs workers on the specific types of forklifts that may be used by your company. Taught in 6 – 8 hour segments (number of attendees and types of lifts used will influence time) this course is a requirement for all operators of forklifts. Course will cover basic operating instructions along with safety rules and regulations. Attendees will have hands-on operator evaluation/instruction following the successful completion of a written test.
*Please Note – this is not an operator certification class. Only an employer may “certify” an operator
Hazard Communication: Designed to instruct workers about Hazard Communications programs. Taught following a 1, 2, 4, or 8 hour format. Attendees will receive instruction on recognizing SDS (Safety Data Sheet) including information on chemical composition, proper handling and first aid measures.
Heat Stress Safety: A one hour awareness course intended to help employees keep themselves safe when working in hot weather conditions.
How to Develop and Implement a Safety Program: This course was designed with the help of NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) and will show the importance of the various aspects such as safety committees, employee participation and setting goals.
How to Prevent Falls From Ladders and Scaffold: Designed with the help of NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) to instruct employees in recognizing the hazards associated with ladders and scaffolds (the 2nd and 3rd leading cause of falls in residential construction).
How to Prevent Falls in Residential Construction: This course was designed with assistance from NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) to combat the leading killer in residential construction. This classroom based program breaks fall protection down into 5 easy to remember segments with the assistance of hands-on demonstrations. Attendees will participate in work groups that devise solutions for work-related scenarios.
Jobsite Safety Analysis: Course is designed to help workers understand what is required for basic JSA, TSA, THA and other types of proactive safety tools. Attendees will be given examples of different forms and how to administer them on a job site. Intended for employees as a cost saving feature that will stress value in safety estimations and work area practices.
Ladder Safety: 1- 2 hour classroom based program to instruct attendees on the basic concepts of ladder safety. Workers will be presented with fatalities caused by the misuse of ladders and possible work-related solutions.
Landscaper Safety Basics: Designed to help landscapers understand safety issues inherent to the landscaping trade. Attendees will be instructed on recognizing elements such as cold/heat stress, proper selection of PPE for equipment use and common work area hazards.
Lock out / Tag out basics: 2 hour course designed to introduce workers to the concepts of lockout/tagout and the safety issues surrounding their program. Attendees will receive classroom instruction and multimedia presentations highlighting common hazards and good work habits.
Multi-Employer Work Sites and OSHA: Designed to clarify the role safety hazards play on a multi-employer job site. This course aids the employer in distinguishing the concepts of controlling employer, exposing employer, creating employer or correcting employer. Recommended for the business owner, upper management, superintendents and foreman.
1926 OSHA 10 hour: a 2 day course designed to meet not only the OSHA minimum requirements but also the clients actual training needs. This is a good basic course for anyone in the construction industry
1926 OSHA 30 hour: a 4 day course that not only meets OSHA’s standards to receive the 30 hour card but also to work with the client and customize the class so that the students get the most out of the class. This is a great class especially for foreman, project managers, Superintendents, lead workers
1910 OSHA 10 hour: a two day course which is a great basic course for clients in the general industry to attain to gain a basic safety knowledge.
1910 OSHA 30 hour: a 4 day program that is for any worker in the general industry to get a more in depth understanding of the 1910 safety standards This course can be somewhat customized to meet the customers needs.
OSHA 101: Course is designed to give attendees a basic overview of OSHA and standard requirements presented in a 2 hour format.
OSHA Recordkeeping: 2 or 4 hour class based around the OSHA record keeping requirements. Developed for the Human Resources or safety professional who needs the necessary information on OSHA 300, 301 and/or 300a.
Personal Protective Equipment: Designed to give attendees a basic overview of OSHA personal protective equipment requirements. Presented as a 2 or 4 hour class, participants will be encouraged to bring their equipment in for inspection, instruction, and information they’ll need to make the right choices.
Pro Active Safety: 2 hour class with information for safety teams that teach Proactive instead of Reactive. Intended to aid safety committees, the president of a company, Human Resources, safety directors or anyone in the decision making process.
Rewarding Your Employees: Designed to instruct on the efficiencies and deficiencies of rewards programs. Presented in a 2 hour format that helps companies make the money spent on rewards programs count.
Respirator Training: A 1, 2, or 4 hour class custom fit to your respirator training needs. The course is developed for anyone who needs respirator protection with attendees being given scenarios and asked to decide if respirators are required.
Safety Committees: Designed to help anyone looking to start or revive a safety committee. Presented in a 2 hour format, the class will aid attendees in recognizing how they should get a program off and running.by others.
Scaffold For The Competent Person: A full day course designed to help employees achieve “Competent Person” status*. Recommended for anyone working on or around scaffolding. Intended to cover basic safety principals and hands-on scaffold erection. Participants will be required to bring in scaffold that is applicable to their work environment.
*Please Note – this is not a certification class. Only the employer may “certify” an employee as Competent Person. Workers will also be required to have personal protection equipment such as hard hats.
Scaffold builder safety: 4 or 8 hour class designed for employees working with scaffolding and developed for everyone*. Employees will be instructed on the erection and dismantling process as well as how to prevent falls, maintenance and inspection. Class helps meet the OSHA training requirements for scaffold use.
*Class will be most valuable to attendees that bring scaffolding for hands-on instruction.
Trenching Excavation Awareness: 2 or 4 hour course is designed for workers that work in or around trenching/excavation projects. Ideal as a refresher to keep employees sharp.
Trenching and Excavation Compentent Person: Designed to help workers achieve “Competent Person” status. Class may be presented in a 2 or 4 hour awareness format**. Recommended for anyone working in or around trenching/excavation projects. Workers will have hands-on exercises with testing devices and reference OSHA standards regarding proper shoring systems.
*Please Note – this is not a certification class. Only the employer may “certify” an employee as Competent Person.
**15 or more atttendees and the class may be customized at your facility to be spread out over a longer period.
Trending and other tools to enhance your safety program: 2 hour class presenting tools that enhance your safety program. Works to focus on how trending and other tools can take your program to the next level.
Who is Responsible for Safety?: A 2 hour course designed for workers and management. Class is customized using multimedia presentations (that includes a viewing of the safety film “Remember Charlie?”) to help workers understand safety is everyone’s responsibility.
What to do When OSHA knocks: 2 or 4 hour class designed for everyone to shed light on those costly mistakes workers make when OSHA appears on a job site. Avoid freezing up because your unprepared or assess costly fines by answering the important questions wrong. Know what to do and how to do it if that day comes.
